The collection consists of a preliminary data base compiled by Schulman of people buried from the Bell Funeral Home, 1923-1969. Data was obtained from funeral home files, death certificates, and transit forms for the shipping of remains. The database has fields for name, birthplace, parents names, mother's maiden name, places of death and burial, occupation, age at death and spouse's name. With this are preliminary notes on the database, annotated Albemarle County maps giving cemetery locations; and a second database containing "other information" such as parents' birthplaces, and informants.
